Registration process for new users

Steps to file ITR online:
Step 1: Go to the official income tax e-filing portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
Phase 2: User ID – Login to the e-filing portal by clicking on Permanent Account Number (PAN), Password, Captcha Code and ‘Login’.
Step 3: Click on the ‘E-File’ menu and click on the ‘Income Tax Return’ link.
Step 4: You will be directed to a new page, which will automatically contain your PAN details. Select ‘Year of Value’, then select ‘ITR Form Number’, ‘Filing Type’ as ‘Original / Modified Return’.
Step 5: Select ‘Prepare and submit online’ under ‘Submit mode’
